University Of Port Harcourt Students who haven't paid school fees asked to repeat year

May 17, 2017  University

The management of the University of Port Harcourt are now saying that students who haven't paid school fees will have to repeat the year.

According to our student sources, people who didn't pay their school fees were asked to repeat the session.

Our source said:

"For example, 400-level students of the Faculty of Agriculture that haven't paid their school fees from, say 200-level or 300-level are asked to repeat their sessions starting from when they didn't pay."

Based on our source, this directive might not affect all the faculties in the school.

Most of the affected students were students who weren't able to pay before the online student portal closed for payments.

Our source also said the students affected are in the miniority. That means the chances we'll see any student action or resistance is very slim

The last time didn't go so well.

In April of 2016, students of the school went protesting over tuition issues, and in no time, soldiers opened fire, killing one student
