Excitement as LASU Secures NUC Accreditation For 44 Courses

Lagos State University (LASU) has successfully secured accreditation for 43 out of 44 courses submitted to the National Universities Commission (NUC) during the accreditation exercise conducted between October and November 2023. This announcement was made by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, via the university's official X handle (formerly known as Twitter) @LASUOfficial on Tuesday, June 11.
Prof. Olatunji-Bello revealed that the results of the accreditation exercise were received in a letter from the NUC on June 6. She expressed excitement over the outcome, noting that only the Computer Science Education course received interim accreditation, while the remaining 43 courses attained full accreditation.
"The result translates to about 99% pass mark, which is another unprecedented record in the university's recent history. It also marks another milestone in the achievements of the six strategic goals of the current administration, the first of which is the accreditation of courses," she stated.
